R.J.Haney Heritage Village and Museum is open from May 16^th to September 22^th,2012, Wednesday through Sunday.
During July and August we will be open 7 days a week. 10am to 5pm.
The Archives room is open all year, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 10am to 4pm.

	Heritage Week – February 20 - 25 This event is held off site at Piccadilly Mall in Salmon Arm. This involves heritage displays by R.J. Haney Heritage Village and various other groups plus entertainment all week. We also have a silent auction for 3 days and on the Saturday an old fashioned pie contest, live pie auction, craft stations and gold panning for the kids and a pancake breakfast. This is a partnership event between the Villageand Museum and the Mall at Piccadilly. This year's theme is the Heritage of Power....water mills, hydroelectric plants, transformer buildings.
	High Tea at R.J. Haney Heritage - May 27 1pm to 3pm To celebrate the beginning of the season, we are hosting our third annual afternoon High Tea. Along with delicious scones, sandwiches and sweets, we are happy to offer special tours of R.J. Haney Heritage House, live music, prizes and entertainment. Reservations required. Call 250-832-5243
	Relay for Life June 1 and 2 This non-competitive fun-filled event people gather in teams to walk or run laps around a track for 12 or more hours. Everyone is welcome to take part, form a team, be a volunteer, or come for the entertainment. Be a part of a life changing experience. Contact info TBA
	Quilting Show "Pieces of History Re-stitched - June 9 New in 2012, partners Diversity Heritage Quilt Group and the Shuswap Needle Arts Guild create displays featuring reproduction, needlework, and antique samplers. The show only lasts a day. Call 250-832-5243
	Father's Day- June 17, 8:30am to 2pm A Father’s Day outing the whole family will love. Start the day with a Pancake Breakfast. Enjoy a wide range of displays throughout the Heritage Village grounds. Special Father’s Day draws and entertainment, crafts for the kids and more. Enjoy a BBQ lunch and Ice Cream. A great day to enjoy with Dad!
	Pioneer School Program – June 6-9, 13-15, and 20-22 Grade one to five classes come to the village and enjoy an old fashioned lesson given in the one room school by a school marm, play old fashioned games, pan for gold and make ice cream. This is an educational program designed to teach today’s students in the ways of yester years. To book your school for this pioneer experience call today, space is limited. 250-832-5243
	Dinner Theatre – July 1 to August 24. 6pm sharp! Every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday through July and August, R.J. Haney Heritage Village offers a dinner and play depicting the life and times of historical characters. An old fashioned meal and interactive play promises to delight audiences; reservations are a must. Call 250-832-5243.
	Pioneer Day - July 8th, 8:30am to 2pm Join us in celebrating our pioneer heritage! Experience an old time Country Fair with Midway Games and pie eating contest. Begin the day with a pancake breakfast; explore the historic displays and demonstrations, collectors’ fair, antique appraisals, music and more. Stay for a BBQ lunch or try a D Dutchman ice cream cone. Fun for the whole family!
	Classic/Antique Car Show - August 12, 9am to 2pm Come and enjoy the display of classic, antique and new automobiles along with several vendors displaying heritage items and wares. The Shuswap Vintage Car Club and many others from the surrounding area as well as local dealers show off their cars. Help pick the “People's Choice” as you chat it up with the car owners. Enjoy the great entertainment and excellent food as well. An event not to be missed!
	Harvest School Program – September 18. 19, & 20 This educational program for school students in grades 1 to 3 teaches how to make apple sauce from scratch using an apple peeler and cooking on an old wood stove. Other activities include tours of the village, washing clothes on a scrub board and playing by-gone games. To book your school for this pioneer experience call today, space is limited. 250-832-5243
	14th Annual Harvest Celebration - Sept. 16th, 3 to 6pm A diversified collection of local restaurants, brewers and wineries treat you to a wonderful culinary experience. Come and enjoy the live music and fall harvest decorations in the tranquil setting of the village. Pick your tickets up early! Call 250-832-5243 for more info.
	Cemetery Tour - October 7 A guided tour of heritage grave sites and the stories of the families will make this an enjoyable experience. Deborah Chapman narrates these stories and brings people temporarily back to life as you learn the history of Salmon Arm’s finest characters. Explanations of grave stone architecture add to the interest
	Spooktacular - October 27 & 28, Gates open at 5:00PM nightly kicking the evening off with live music entertainment. For two nights, the village transforms into a scary attraction for the annual Spooktacular. With the terrifying spook trail and haunted house, there will be menacing creatures around every dark corner. This popular event has been a crowd pleaser for years and always brings something new. For the little spooks enjoy the Story Book Trail the Coloring Room and more. Children under 16 must be accompanied by and adult.
