Haney Heritage Village and Museum is open from May 12th to September 25th Wednesday through Sunday. The Museum and Archives room is open all year Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Heritage Week – February 15-20 This event is held off site at Piccadilly Mall in Salmon Arm. This involves heritage displays by Haney and various other groups plus entertainment all week. We also have a silent auction for 3 days and on the Saturday an old fashioned pie contest, live pie auction, craft stations for the kids and a pancake breakfast. This is a partnership event between Haney and the Mall at Piccadilly.
Father's Day- June 20 A Father’s Day outing the whole family will love. Enjoy a wide range of vehicles on display throughout the Heritage Village grounds. Special Father’s Day draws and live music. BBQ and Ice Cream.
Pioneer School Program – June 2,3,4 9,10,11, 16,17&18 Grade one to five classes come to the village and enjoy an old fashioned lesson given in the one room school by a school marm, play old fashioned games, pan for gold and make ice cream. This is an educational program designed to teach today’s students in the ways of yesteryears.
Dinner Theatre – July 2 to August 25 Every Friday, Sunday and Wednesday through July and August R.J. Haney Heritage Village offers a dinner and play depicting the life and times of a historical character. This year we feature a one act dramatic comedy celebrating the history of sport and recreation in the Shuswap.“Maw’s Jam Eaters” is a local hockey sucess story from 1942. Come and see our lively student actors put on this production written by a local playwright.

Classic/Antique Car Show - August 15 Come and enjoy the display of classic, antique and new automobiles along with several vendors displaying heritage items and wares. The Shuswap Vintage Car Club and others from the surrounding area as well as local dealers put on an interesting show. Help pick the “Peoples Choice” in several categories as you chat it up with the vendors and owners.
Harvest School Program – September 21, 22, 23 & 24 This educational program for school students in grades 1 to 3 teaches how to make apple sauce from scratch using an apple peeler and cooking on an old wood stove.
Other activities include tours of the village, washing clothes on a scrub board and playing by-gone games.
Harvest Celebration - September 19 A diversified collection of local restaurants, brewers and wineries treat you to a culinary experience. Come and enjoy the live music and fall harvest decorations in the tranquil setting of the village.
Cemetery Tour - October 3 A guided tour of heritage grave sites and the stories of the families will make this an enjoyable experience. Deborah Chapman narrates these stories and brings people temporarily back to life as you learn the history of Salmon Arm’s finest characters. Explanations of grave stone architecture add to the interest.
Halloween Spooktacular - October 23 & 24 Two nights of spook trails, the scary maze, fortune teller, spook stories, story land trail and displays is sure to delight the kids and send the parents running. This popular event has been a crowd pleaser for years and always brings something new. What a way to end the season at the village.
