There is an
exciting new project in its infancy at the Salmon Arm Museum.
In celebration of the new
century, volunteers are actively collecting family trees from Salmon Arm residents.
"If we wait passively, they'll never show up," says Deborah Chapman, Archivist.
"Older families are preferred," Chapman continues. "We want to understand
the relationships between families." Archive volunteers are sometimes puzzled when
working on new collections, and "having family trees will dispel some of our
confusion." |
"Besides," adds the archivist,
"collecting history is what we're supposed to be doing. This Project will be a tool
