R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum welcomes you to explore history, discovery, and fun for all ages.

Summer Hours (July 1 – August 31, 2025)
• Heritage Village, Museum, Children’s Museum & Trails: 
Every day, 10 AM – 5 PM

• Sprig of Heather Restaurant: 
Wednesday – Sunday, 10 AM – 4 PM

• Archives (by appointment): 
Monday–Friday, 10 AM – 5 PM

Located on the east side of Salmon Arm at 751 Highway 97B, our 40-acre site is the Shuswap’s premier heritage destination. Wander through 24 original and replica buildings, browse over 30 engaging exhibits—including the iconic 1910 Haney House—and uncover hands-on fun in our Children’s Discovery Centre. When you work up an appetite, enjoy fresh, homemade meals at the Sprig of Heather Restaurant, or take a stroll on our scenic walking trails.

Admission includes full access to all exhibits, guided tours, and daily activities. Immerse yourself in the stories and spirit of the Shuswap’s early settlers!

Mission and Mandate of R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum

R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum, a registered not-for-profit charitable organization, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of Salmon Arm and its surrounding communities. Established in 1963 on the traditional territories of the Secwepemc People, the Village offers a vibrant connection to the past through diverse programs, exhibits, and events.

Dinner Theatre – July 13 to August 24

Celebrate thirty years of Villains and Vittles Dinner Theatre Productions from July 13 to August 24, 2025, with a special matinee on Thursday, August 21. Playwright Peter Blacklock takes us on a fast-paced musical journey through Canadian history in the outdoor amphitheatre!

Check-in is at 5:00 pm, dinner is served at 6:00 pm, and the show begins at 7:00 pm. Tickets: $38.00, $16.00 for children (5–12), and children 4 and under are free. Reservations required — call 250-832-5243 to secure your seats!

Cowboy Campfire Show & Cocktail Hour – July 4, 2025

Join us for an evening of cowboy music, stories, and Western charm! Featuring Rob Dinwoodie & Open Range with guest Ken Mather, the night includes a roping demonstration, cocktail hour at 5:30 PM, and a campfire performance under the stars. Tickets are $38 + GST and must be reserved in advance. Pre-order a Cowboy Appetizer Plate (ribs, wedges & veggies) for $15 + GST. Call 250-832-5243 to reserve your tickets.

Quilts in the Village – July 12, 2025 | 10 AM–3 PM

Join us for one of the most colourful days of the season at R.J. Haney Heritage Village in Salmon Arm! Over 200 quilts will be on display throughout the site, with heritage buildings transformed into a stunning patchwork gallery. Enjoy special guest quilter, Lynn Knox, shop the Vendor Village, explore a powerful exhibit on pioneer women, and treat yourself to lunch at the Sprig of Heather Restaurant.
Admission: $15.00 at the gate. Don’t forget your $5.00 50/50 raffle ticket—you could win up to $5,000!

The Soirée Speakeasy

Shhh... We’re throwing a party, and you’re on the list.
Join us for the Soirée Speakeasy on July 17, 2025—a secret soirée under the stars featuring guest Chef Spencer Moores of Cahoots Kitchen, prohibition-inspired, live music, vintage glamour, and the law’s nowhere in sight.
Tickets: $150 | Tax Receipt: $75 | Limited to 150 Guests
Dress in your roaring best, sip on “giggle water,” and dance the night away at Salmon Arm’s most exclusive 1920s-style event.
