WE ARE OPEN FOR THE 2026 SEASON
Located on the east side of Salmon Arm at 751 Highway 97B.
Spend the day exploring history, nature, family fun, and discover Shuswap’s premier heritage destination. Wander through heritage buildings and exhibits, Museum Gallery, enjoy scenic walking trails, visit the Children’s Discovery Centre, and relax over lunch at the Sprig of Heather Restaurant featuring a new menu.

Fall Hours | Wednesday to Sunday | 10:00 am to 5:00 pm

The Heritage Village, Museum, Sprig of Heather restaurant, and walking trails are open 
Wednesday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
The Children’s Museum and guided tours are supported by our dedicated volunteers and are available when volunteer coverage permits. We recommend checking with our team when you arrive to see what is available during your visit.

Mission and Mandate of R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum

R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum, a registered not-for-profit charitable organization, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of Salmon Arm and its surrounding communities. Established in 1963 on the traditional territories of the Secwepemc People, the Village offers a vibrant connection to the past through diverse programs, exhibits, and events.

Harvest Celebration: A Four-Course Fall Feast

Join us Sunday, September 13, from 5:00–9:00 PM for a special four-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Hans. Enjoy Ahi Tuna Tataki, Thai Chicken Satay, Asian Braised Lamb Shanks and Opera Tart, along with live music by local musician Lawren Clark.

18th Annual Cemetery Tour | October 18

History comes to life among the headstones of Mt. Ida Cemetery.
Join Curator Morgan Ryder for the 18th Annual Cemetery Tour and discover the stories of the men and women who helped shape Salmon Arm. Hear stories of love, loss, perseverance and triumph, shared in the peaceful setting where many of our community’s early residents rest.

Spooktacular | October 24 & 25, 2026

Get ready for two nights of family-friendly Halloween fun at R.J. Haney Heritage Village & Museum! Join us from 5:00 to 8:30 pm for the 28th Annual Spooktacular, featuring the Pumpkin Patch Path, Hocus Pocus Midway, Mystical Fortune Teller, Mad Scientist, haunted attractions, our famous Spooky Trail and more.
Admission: $16 per person or $15 cash. Kids 5 & under are free.
October 24 & 25 | 5:00–8:30 pm
