Hello everyone,

Thank you to those of you who had the opportunity to volunteer in this year's Work Bee! It might not been the nicest day, but everyone worked hard and the Village looks great.

The Village is now open, and our next event is High Tea on Sunday, May 28th, from 1 to 3 pm. I am looking for volunteers for the following positions:

BEFORE the event: Set up tents, tables, chairs and stations – On Thursday, May 25th starting at 10 am. I am looking for 4 or 5 strong volunteers that can help with this task. It will take about 3 hours to have everything set up. Kitchen Helper – Assisting the kitchen staff with food prep. I am looking for 2 volunteers on Saturday, May 27th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Decorating – Sunday, 29th from 10 am to 12:30 pm. I am looking for 4 volunteers to help decorate and set the tables.

DURING the event:

Parking – looking for 2 volunteers to help with parking from 12:00 to 1:30 pm.

Bussing and Serving - looking for 5 volunteers to help with food serving and bussing from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.

Hot Water Station – 2 volunteers, filling up crafts for servers to take to tables from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.

Kitchen Helper – Assisting the kitchen staff with food prep. 3 volunteers from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Plating Food - Assisting the kitchen plating the food. I am looking for 2 volunteers from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.

Clean Up - Assist with taking down decorations, clearing tables and general clean up after the event from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.

House Sitter – looking for 2 volunteers, one per floor, giving tours of the House from 1:00 till about 4:30 pm.

Take Down - Looking for 2 to 3 volunteers to Assist taking down some of the tents, and repositioning others for upcoming events; and putting away the tables and chairs. Starting at 3:00 pm and should take no more than 2 hours.

We have weddings booked in the following dates:

Saturday, June 3rd 
Decorating & Set up - I am looking for 2 volunteers to assist Tara decorating and setting up the tables starting at 9:30 am.
Bartender - 1 volunteer to assist staff at the bar pouring wine, beer and cider from 5 to 8 pm.

Sunday, June 4th
Decorating & Set up - I am looking for 2 volunteers to assist Tara decorating and setting up the tables starting at 9:30 am.
Chairs set up - 2 volunteers to help setting up the chairs for the ceremony starting at 10:00 am.
Bussing - 2 or 3 volunteers to assist with bussing from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.

Saturday, June 10 
Bar - 1 volunteer to assist staff at the bar pouring wine, beer and cider from 5 to 8 pm.
Bussing - 2 or 3 volunteers to assist with bussing from 5:00 to 8:30 pm. 
Buffet/Kitchen helper - 2 volunteers assisting the kitchen taking the food out to the buffet from 5:30 to 8:00 pm.

Do you have a friend interested in joining our fantastic group of volunteers?
Last year we introduced the Refer a Friend Program, and as a result, we had a couple of wonderful volunteers joining our team. Invite your friends to come and volunteer with us. Your name will be entered in a monthly draw for every person who signs in and volunteers for at least one shift. So, remember to let us know who you are referring!
